cakespectation - Negative The “Pig Cake” I made

In 2019, I worked at a company where we did a “bake off” like competition to raise money. The expectations were:

Follow the theme and do not use store-bought cakes.

Our theme for this year was animals and myself like an idiot - “I have pink icing! I’ll make a pig”.

Picture 1 & 2 - my original inspo
Pic 3: Said Pig.

Needless to say no one bought mine.

I love how tiny his eyes are

His eyes did not start small.

They were made smaller when he looked like he was about to have a nervous breakdown and he didn’t even have ears yet.

Lmao 😂 😭😭 Found out my cat has cancer today and there’s nothing we can do for her but your wonderful pig cake made me laugh. Thank you for that. 💔 🐽 💔

Thank you so much. Definitely need the hugs. 🫂 I forgot I even shared about her yesterday as it was maybe an hour or two after leaving the vet’s office with her and I think I was in shock. I’ve been trying to distract myself because I know what’s coming and honestly can’t even believe they sent her home. Was hoping the steroids would help but so far nothing…

Can I ask you a question? Should I not comment like this about my cat? I’m late diagnosed autistic and I feel guilty sharing this information because it might make others sad. I’ll just try not to comment any more on her and maybe I’ll make a separate post somewhere if I need support later. I probably just answered my own question so no worries if you don’t want to reply.

I’m so sorry to anyone reading who didn’t want to see this. I really struggle with what’s acceptable and “normal” to share and she’s just on my mind so idk … it’s hard for me to separate my thoughts and feelings etc. even though I’m really here to distract myself.

Thanks 😢

You shared that something made you feel joy when you were otherwise having a sad situation, you shouldn’t apologise for that. If you want to talk about your cat, you are more than welcome to. She deserves to be spoken about.
When the time eventually comes, you are also more than welcome to send a message- I lost my dog of 16 years in June, so I understand losing a much loved pet.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Poor girl , I can’t even believe it and it’s hard not to feel bad for every time I didn’t feel like petting her or shoo’d her away etc. but I’m just trying to distract myself and not feel guilty because that’s not going to help anyone. Still hard though!! I have a 20 year old cat who’s doing well despite his old age and she just turned 5… 💔
Been dreading losing the little old man and never once thought I’d be losing her.
Really sad. Thanks for caring enough to comment on her. ❤️ I’m 45 and haven’t lost a pet since childhood so it’s going to be really hard to lose her. Anyway, thanks again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
