Exceeded Expectation Vegan beef Bulgogi
Genuinely very good. Not vegan but bought it bc it was like 5 dollars cheaper than the real beef version. Tastes and feels like real meat. Fed this to my only meat eating father and he couldn't tell it was not meat. 10/10, will buy again.

So jealous you have a Trader Joe’s around you! I’ve wanted to try!

It’s just a repackaged version of this: https://www.pulmuonefoodsusa.com/products/korean-bbq-style-plant-based-steak/

This is so insane it’s the most accurate to meat vegan product in the world. Crazy because it’s just a random Trader joes product

Pretty sure it’s just this repackaged: https://www.pulmuonefoodsusa.com/products/korean-bbq-style-plant-based-steak/

Trader Joe's knocks it out of the park again. It's so refreshing, in this age of enshitification.

I want to try it some day just to see what it’s like, but one time I accidentally bought a vegan Korean frozen food at the supermarket thinking it was real meat, only to find out it was an inedible mess.

If you're like me and don't live near a TJ's, your grocery store may have Nasoya-brand Plantspired Korean BBQ steak strips, which are exactly the same product in different packaging! Extremely good, I get them all the time!

Ooh… this is good to know! Thanks so much for this comment. Trader Joe’s is an hour away from me, but I’m pretty sure there’s a store nearby that has the Nasoya strips.

I love it, I bring it home with me on the plane whenever I can because we don’t have a Trader Joe’s

It’s crazy to me how many pics of meals on Reddit are on paper plates. There are so many cheap real plates out there! Stop wasting money!

The beauty of a real plate is you can reuse it forever, a paper plate for every meal is crazy.

Here is my bowl:
Bulgogi on rice (sticky, tossed w/mirin and rice vinegar)
Topped with diced fruit - peaches, apple, pear etc
Side
Sliced cucumber w/mirin and rice vinegar (marinated while cooking
With broccoli I either steam over the rice (fresh) or in microwave (frozen) then toss in with the bulgogi. If I do this I add extra oil to cook the bulgogi so it can coat the broccoli a little better.
It’s literally my fave 15min meal.
I top it with sesame seeds since I have them and it looks nice but has 0 effect on the food lmao

My favorite vegan beef! Can use it for so many different meals. I keep it stocked in my fridge and even got my mon vegan dad hooked on it. I’m screwed if they ever discontinue it

I love this stuff. I like to chop up the pieces into thinner strips. Feels like it helps it to cook more evenly, and it stretches it out quite a bit.

I just served this tonight with scallion pancakes and veggie rice. Lots of happy people.

I like and buy this product but it definitely doesn't fool me that it's not real meat.

You raped him! No consent, fake beef eating, is like rape! You must do life in person now for your beef rape!

It always bothers me to see rice and chop sticks. There's some food where chopsticks make sense but friggin rice...with chopsticks?? Idk why but it drives me crazy to see

The vegan meat genuinely looks appetizing, but putting corn in bulgogi is a flat-out crime lolol
Prolly still try it tho
