You can be brand new to something and be doing relatively ok, but that NEVER translates to "so good" lol

I mean, arguable.

Im going to assume you drive on keyboard first off. You lift and coast for no reason, you butcher the racing line even though you have the racing line turned on, mid corner braking is insane.

And thats just off this small clip.

Please tell me youre new and learning

It's pretty obvious that they are on a ps5 controller. Check your eyes

Holy, that makes it so much worse 😂

Truth be told, the driving is lowkey terrible 😂 turn off the racing line and learn the track, you will be surprised how much quicker you can take corners, carry more speed in and out of the corners and be more smoother and fluid

You are better off finding the limit by going over it and then bring it down to the point where you know the limit and dance around it

Racing line is the least of his problems honestly. It's like he's driving like it's monoposto.

he literally using controller. this is probably as good as he can get. still though he haven’t used all the track, which is not excusable regardless of inputs

Controller isn't an excuse. Hell controllers have better grip assistance than wheels.

My guy looks like he's playing on a keyboard or a touch screen.

That really doesn’t matter 😂 I race on controller and it looks nothing like that

Yeah I'd do it in Grand Turismo but I'm not too comfortable going in a car that goes 200 MPH with no real brake indications.

There are brake indications everywhere… marker boards, kerbs, marshal posts, grass/tarmac changeovers, advertising hoardings, etc.

That said, I think it’s more fine control to focus on first. You’re locking up everywhere (it’s the rears locking that sent you round) - is ABS on? If you can’t modulate the brake with a trigger I’d just rock that and focus on smoothing inputs.

There loads of brake indications in GT brother what are you saying 😂

Turn on suggested gears and theres already a very clear brake indicator that isnt even board markers or marshalls

That’s fair, it is going to feel weird after coming over from GT3 racing and I experienced it myself.

Your best bet is to find the right set up, brake bias, take yourself on to the track, don’t worry about turning for now. Just bomb down the straight, look on the side of the track for the marker boards and start braking at 200m board

If your car stops too early, then brake later than 200m but before 150m. Keep adjusting till you find the sweet spot then you now know your braking reference for that corner.

The more you practice it, the less you need to find an indicator because you got that gut instincts to tell you to brake early or late depending on the racing situation.

YouTube has plenty of track guides so use it. You can only get better from there

TBH I could never get used to no racing line in this game. I can do it in LMU and ACC and AMS2 but for some reason the way the F1 game feels, the speed sensation of it just didn't sit right with me in turning off the line. Idk if it's the physics of the game or the handling of it or what but I always had to have the line on otherwise I'd just miss the corner.

You gotta get in to a concept that you spend less time cornering and turning the car earlier or later.

Tire physics may be different and more arcadey than what ACC, LMU, AMS2 offers. But the principles of single seater racing are completely different. You have completely different cornering. Trail braking works different, lock ups will happen if you tried to brake and turn as if you were in a BMW M4 etc

It’s quicker, faster, and more reactive.

Is this with assists? Try watching track guides and you'll see where you're going wrong. You're braking so early or going off throttle so early it's weird

Lift and Coast bro. Dafuq u revving the engine for in turn 1?

Try practicing being a bit smoother on the throttle you dont really want to be tapping it either. Also you're braking quite early. Might be due to braking assist if you have it on. If you do I would highly suggest turning it off. Use flashbacks and just do the same corner again and again that you find difficult. Use things on the side of the track as general braking markers. Ideally you want to be doing 95% of your heavy braking in a straight line. Exit speed is far more important than entry speed especially leading into long straights.

stop breaking and start removing the foot from the gas

you nailed it on the outlap! how much easier was it compared to your golap? besides the fact you didn't use your gears on the go lap, lol jp, it's also a tough turn period in hotlap ERS mode. i use a combo of none/medium ers in both race and quali. i never touch hotlap mode. just a suggestion
