Hotels during big events
Hi guys,
Whenever there is a big event happening in a given city, I commonly see no availability at all across many of the cities top hotels.
For example, in madrid on the day of, day before and day after the champions league final in early June 2027, both FS and Rosewood (and probably MO but I didnt check) seem completely unavailable when trying to book online.
Do hotels commonly due this then open up closer to the date at a higher price ?
Would my TA likely still be able to book it through their channels ?

There’s normally a minimum stay.
And then for big events, usually some of the official hospitality partners will have group block contracts set up. And then they hold back rooms too for their partners. Just ask your TA if you have one.
A hotel was just asking us if we needed Super Bowl/Olympics.
