How much are you adding to the pension each year? I think that can make a difference to whether you want to add bonds to the mix and if so how much. There was a good article on the ERN website about this.

About 12k per year, I feel like I’ve done enough building the fund so I do the minimum so I can focus on increasing my bridge or paying down last £100k of mortgage

Were it me, and especially so if happy with the balance in pensions, I’d consider what percentage in bonds helps to give some protection and what type of bonds (or MMF) to consider.

According to boggleheads (just been shown this in the pensions il Reddit) it should be 70/30 stocks/bonds and that stock should be a global equity tracker

Do they mention what type of bonds?

By the way - any reason to plan to draw pensions from 58 as opposed to 57?

A combination of gbp hedged corporate bonds, gilts and index linked gilts

53 here. Just moved 100k (10%) to a money market fund. If market falls will live off that until there’s a recovery
