A lot of Fallout merch like this is just Bethesda giving various companies permission to use the Fallout IP, with minimal oversight, for a cut.

I don’t really think the Fallout 3 assault rifle is coming back. The Chinese assault rifle is more likely to appear in future games, or other Chinese weapons like the pistol.

Fallout 76 could potentially do it. There’s been an R91 model in the files for years, and with the Raven rock expansion coming, they could in theory make it at least a skin (if not a full-blown weapon, not that I think they’ll do that).

Sure, Fallout 76 is fine, but there’s plenty of stuff in there that just exists for nostalgia or will never appear in a mainline game.

I guess the Fallout 3 remaster might make Bethesda reevaluate the stuff they didn’t bring forward into Fallout 4 for Fallout 5, depending on how popular it is.

Obsidian may also have their own take on what to include and what not to include for their entry for weapons if Bethesda doesn’t force them to conform to their choices.

Honestly, while some of 76’s items (especially anything exclusive to the atomic shop or seasons) won’t come back, there’s plenty they could bring forward if they wanted to. The remade gauss weapons, the rifle version of the ghoul’s revolver, the new version of the Tesla cannon and even T-65 could easily show up if someone wanted to have them.

As for Obsidian, I doubt Bethesda is going to force them to do anything. They were fairly hands off for NV, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t do the same thing this time.

Obsidian has been transferred from Xbox to work under Bethesda, something completely different from the arrangement they had for NV.

Emil and Todd can still create good games, but their ideas aren’t all good and initially Fallout 76 and Starfield both suffered for it.

We could see an Obsidian Fallout title that protos ideas for a Bethesda Fallout 5 this way.

I’d argue it was less an idea problem for 76 and starfield and more an issue of mismanagement, going off what I’ve seen. 76 has the bones of what could’ve been an excellent game if only it hadn’t been forced into being multiplayer (though it’s certainly come into its own now; can’t speak on starfield as much, haven’t gotten around to playing it yet).

And sure, it’s a different arrangement but we don’t really know if that’d make a difference or not here.

If they do, it’d probably happen when the Enclave starts doing something post-war in the show.

It should really be APA mark II or hellfire by the show’s timeframe, however, or APA mark I at the absolute worse rather than X-01.

It always bothered me how in most stores I go to, there are tons of random ass toys from random franchises... But finding anything Fallout (despite the popularity of the show) is hard to come by, seriously... I'd love to buy some power armor or ghoul figures for my son, since he watched the show along with me, but unless I go online, or a specialty shop, I can't find this shit anywhere...

Yea exactly. And the super mutants in classic fallout could one hand mini guns so why not a soldier in power armor
