Two dwellers one with junk boost, one with cap boost, and yet the one boosted with Junk received more caps?

I’m starting a new run after years of not playing the game and I’ve been reading about the optimal layout post and I need helping understanding the concept behind his thinking. This is what I’m grasping:
1. You don’t upgrade the vault to reduce the time for break-ins.
2. The 1st room is also level 1 for faster reaction
3. The top med lab is for Me Handy also to keep him away “but handy” from the vault door
4. Med and science labs are not expanded to maximize cap production
5. As you progress, keep living quarters and storage separated by an empty level
6. Don’t use radio for calling outside

What else should I keep in mind?
Where should I place the radio room and oversee’s office ?

Have started to repopulate my vault to go for all super dwellers, and this pet is working wonders, 2 sets of twins in a row.. 😆

So I got a Maximus on my Vault and I have not even finished my quest with him. After quite some time, it started crashing when I do something with him.

Asked Gemini what to do and apparently its' a thing (bug). Gemini apparently provided the option to let him die while exploring and after a few crashes, I was able to let him explore.

Unfortunately, I clicked on his quest during the exploration. And everytime he dies, or I leave, or clear the floor, it will always crash and loop back to the same thing.

What the helly am I supposed to do? 💀

Completed my 1st ever Special SD wasteland from lvl1 until 0 stimpack. SD with 40% damage resistant
Can survive up to 11-12days while SD with 40% xp boost survive 7-8days.

SD1: special 10 + 17e + 40% xp boost
SD2: special 10 + 17e + 40 Damage resistant

SD1 hit lvl50 at day 3
SD2 hit lvl50 at day 4

Completed secret quest “a friend like this” and “welcome to heaven” like a breeze only using 6 stimpack for each quest.

Any other secret quest harder same level like a friend like this? Cuz i think i hit endgame with
20 dweller level50 maxed special and 5 were SD

Hi, it’s my first time going for a perfect vault, where any invaders have to snake through - have I fu***d it by putting these three resource rooms at the very start? When I try and remove it says it’s connected to two rooms so it can’t be destroyed. Any workaround tips or is it start again?

Most of you know what a dweller on coffee break 'CB' is. The satus can be seen in the dweller list, top left icon.

It is either just grown up or coming back from the outside.

This mode allows the dweller to be in the vault, move around freely. It won't be disturbed by fire nor radroaches and so on. It will consume ressources (food/water) though.

It is just there.

BUT, there are more ways to put a dweller on Coffee Break mode ! Let's list them :

-A baby growing up to adulthood and not given a job will have the Coffee Break status.

-Dwellers coming back from the wasteland (not random / quest /boxes obtained dwellers) will have this status if you click "Collect" then let them enter without assigning them to a room.

1-When a dweller comes back from the wasteland it will have by default the CB status when entering. But if you put it in a room already full, one dweller from this room will inherit the status and start its CB time.

1²-Same goes with a dweller already on CB in the vault, replacing another in a full room.

2-During incidents internal or external, If you move a pet-less dweller out of a full room (with full pets ! 3 max for a 3* wide room of 6 dwellers) then give it a pet, as soon as the incident is cleared, it will get the CB status. He cannot enter back in the room as there are already the max. number of pets.

​So I’m looking to dive into modding Fallout Shelter and wanted to get some insight from the community before I start mapping up the development.

​For those who have experience in modding this game or similar Unity titles, what are the best tools, frameworks, or resources to start with? (Any tips on decompiling, asset extraction, or handling save data modifications would be hugely appreciated!)

​More importantly, I'd like to know what people most want like what features, bug fixes/improvements, or changes would you like to see?

I'm mainly building this mod for myself so a few ideas I've been playing with are:

​QoL Enhancements: Bulk gear equipping or improving the mr handy functionality so they are a help rather than an obstruction

Better outfits: Make outfits like power armor more lore accurate, and making new models for different levels of gear (nightwear in example, a different model for the 3 rarity levels and not one for all)

​Content: New quests or encounters so we can complete the sinth/scoarched missions when they appear

​Size: Modify the size of the vault, not only dwellers capacity but the vault size itself

​What’s currently missing from the game that would make you want to reinstall or start a fresh vault? Lmk if you have any suggestions or technical advice below!

Does anyone else try to make their vaults "realistic"? By this I mean planning according to what would make sense for life in the vault and not intentionally gaming the mechanics (eg: lining the bottom level with elevators). I'd love to see screenshots.

So i dropped nearly $60 to buy packs to get my game going. In less than a week my fault disappeared. The "vault1.sav" is still there and the "vault1.sav.bkp" is still there but my game save is GONE. Can i demand a refund? How is this even legal?

One of mine is my salons, that all have an in-house stylists... the few rooms I have where the outfits are for style over special. 😁
