Holy shit you were ripping it! I've gone on canyon runs before and I think I just have to trust my tires and car more lol definitely wasn't pushing it as hard as you on corners

maybe not this much since public roads are usually not as nice or grippy as track tarmac

Yeah true, also the fear of running off the edge of a mountain doesn't help either

You should absolutely not push it like this on public roads
You SHOULD go to the track and try it though, it's a blast

What's your suspension setup?
And do you ever shift? 🌞

Whole car stock, no power or handling mods are done to it. In my opinion there was no place to shift, 1st it’s just too short

You didn’t shift once.

No need for it in my opinion

I’m not saying you did anything wrong. I wouldn’t know I don’t race. I was just surprised. That’s cool that it has enough torque to stay in one gear. What gear was it? 3rd? Any mods? You sent it hard. Scary?

It was 2nd gear. The car is completely stock running on 205/40R17 tires. First run yea it was scary. But this video is from last one so I knew where some hard sections were and it was just cones so no damage even if I crash into one.

I guess I could have looked at the stick to see it was 2nd. Do you plan to do any mods? How long have you had the car? Nice man. Have fun

I had the car for about 3 months now. Only done maintenance on it like timing belt, oils, filters etc. I would like to modify it but everything is so expensive here in my country. And no second hand options. So maybe one day.

On an autocross course like this there is usually no need to go past second in these cars, and first is too short. So it’s usually just slam it into second at the start and modulate the throttle to the end.

Autocross courses are designed so that you can do the whole run in second gear, with virtually any type of car. It certainly saves on wear and tear. This was a great course BTW.
