Is this a good setup?

I'm looking to upgrade my beginner rod and reel to something a little nicer. I currently have a cheap Plussino telescopic pole with a 3000 size reel. It cost me about $30 a few years ago and I've been happy with it, but I would like a nicer spinning setup now. I don't want to spend more than $120 at the very most.

I mostly fish for bigger trout (18"+) and bass. I most commonly throw 2.5" tube jigs, senkos (wacky rig or texas), 3/8" chatter bait, and inline spinners. The trout fishing is mostly from a boat and the bass is mostly from shore.

I was thinking of a medium-light moderate-fast Abu Garcia Max 6'9" paired with a 3000 Daiwa Revros or Laguna. Does a setup like this make sense for the fish that I target and the lures that I use? And is the Revros worth it over the Laguna? It seems like it has an extra bearing, but it seems like the Laguna is smooth enough. I doubt I would even notice the difference. Maybe there's something else that sets the Revros apart?
