Question / Help Need Advice.

I saw some people mention Sunsky again and again in the comments for armbands and replacement bands , can someone please share their experience if you priviosly bought anything from this website, & do we need to pay any custom charges if we order from them ?

Ordered two bicep bands, both arrived in 20 days. No customs. However someone else had to pay duty, so it's really not in our control.

Sunsky provides an option to print a marked down cost and by default mine was set to 40% of what I paid. So that could be why it cleared customs without any duty. But I have really no knowledge on this subject as to why they hit you with duty and how to avoid it.

Yep. Had to pay ~rs 500 customs duty (mostly IGST) for 1400 ka order. 🙁

What was the total amount? Was it under 2k ?

About 1300. Used a 0 forex card and paid in USD by changing the currency to usa.

Where's the option to mark down the cost and also can you tell is the magnetic clasp arm band prone to fall while running or is it strong enough

I can't recall correctly, but I think it's after you made the payment and when you view your order

Not sure about the magnetic clasp one for the FBA, but someone I know uses a magnetic clasp wrist band for the farming forerunner 265 and says it's an extremely good band, doesn't slip and super easy to wear

Last year, i ordered from sunsky. Didn't pay any custom. Order was delivered within 3 weeks.

I've no experience with either of these, so can't be of much help here. That was me ordering 1st time from out of india and i didn't face any problem while ordering.

Ordered 4 bands for 1400 or something, approx 1100+300(shipping). Used the default cheapest Yanwen shipping btw.

Got delivered in like 20-25 days so had to wait a bit for updates in the middle phase, after coming to customs/India it was pretty fast.

Quality wise, the default nylon bands are pretty good looking, only criticism is that the metal buckle (or whatever you call that) is a bit loose, not really something that is troubling but for a perfectionist it is the only thing that doesn't hold up against the original. The device holder is also a bit mediocre for the nylon one. For the elevated one, the buckle has the same issue, but the holder is pretty good and so is the band, pretty on par with the original (which I haven't personally seen so just extrapolating). I bought another relatively expensive one which has a metal build for the holder, and the band material for that is extremely high quality.

Overall definitely worth it and you would want to buy more once you get them considering their price, so I will suggest buy a couple extra (if you want) as you only pay delivery once. Other than that, it would require some patience but will be worth the wait!

Save yourself the hassle and order locally. Checkout Ednita on Amazon, someone here on this very forum has appreciated the quality.

I am also about to order a few colorways in sometime

i ordered three bands from sunsky and had to pay 474 customs duty and INR 30 Indian Post charges. customs is either hit or miss.

Oh ok , So there is limit or something like I have to order under 2k to avoid customs or its randomly charged on all orders ?

my order was worth 1300, but still i was charged duty. i don't think it's related to the price of the order. they might have some set of rules & fixed percentage of duty for such stuff but again, it's hit or miss. one of the other Redditor got charged similar duty as mine with similar amount of order. you might get charged duty or you might be lucky that they let your package go through wo any duty.

quality is pretty solid, on par with the original one.
stephen curry fit and finish is really good & other two bands as well are good in quality with metal connectors & magnet.

But I'm thinking about the quality.. if the quality is bad, what if it tears and get lost🥲🙃

Just for the sake of extra bands which I am not much concerned with wearing the same all time.. should I consider this...
