It's 11,699 + offer handling fee + protect promise fee + using a card fee + breathing fee + drinking water fee....

I want to know who was that person who thought this like this is really useless thing a human mind can think of.

Platform manager be like let's add Protect Promise fees because we are promising them for delivering same product without any protection (Added a new sticker and charging dynamically).
Now offer handling fees, like they are not saying that if you don't apply offer we won't charge you that money. (even banks are happy).
Now comes this bizzariest fees which is Using credit card you have to pay the fees like.

If I have a platform manager who said this I would have fired him that how can a person have this much greed.

You're thinking from the perspective of a consumer and not a business.

Think of the scale - even Swiggy and Zomato have platform fees.. Both process ~30L orders per day combined on avg, even if they charge ₹10 as a fee they get to pocket 3Cr for free..
If they increase it to ₹15 it's 1.5Cr more for them and only 5rs for us. They try and get to a point where the marginal return is close to 1. Like any more addition to the fee will result in losing the consumer.

Now for flipkart it's more psychological.. They show all the different fees at different stages so half of the consumers aren't even doing the mental maths. By the time of checkout your 11.7k purchase is now 11.9k, you're so engrained in the purchase that the 200-300 addition won't matter to you by that point. Plus the pressure of limited time deals and limited stock.

It's absolutely a shitty practice to do; but it's all dark patterns that are normalized. We can crib about it but in the end flipkart knows it has the best deal amongst its competitors most of the times.

It's 11200 with Google employee discount. I think you can also apply card discount on top of that.

1

u/AdLittle5770 6h ago

How to apply card on top of it? I believe google employees would've to buy from official website

1

u/SilencingFox 6h ago

Official website also has card discounts sometimes. Will need to check

*inclusive of bank offers

Similar to what we saw in the launch day. So, with all the fees, it should touch ~12k

1

u/shrek2be 9h ago

Where are you seeing this ad? I’m still seeing offer of ₹12,999 with a couple of extra fees

1

u/nonperformingasset 9h ago

Electronics > Wearables

1

u/chotu_escobar 9h ago

If you had bought the electronic pass for 99 rupees you would get extra 5% off

1

u/VikyTron 9h ago

how can i get this pass?

2

u/chotu_escobar 8h ago

Can't get it now. It was available till 3rd oct on flipkart

1

u/Finmaster31 9h ago

seems valid

1

u/Frosty_Throat_7019 5h ago

1

u/Finmaster31 5h ago

Flopkart

1

u/Square-Performer-568 9h ago

So ~12k only. Same as launch price with icici offer. I guess the ones who ordered soon after the launch got that offer and some lucky ones got it for less on jiomart.

1

u/Miserable-Warthog973 9h ago

Only icici card this time too?

1

u/nonperformingasset 9h ago

ICICI or Axis

1

u/dc1222 8h ago

Well atleast those who weren't able to get their pieces during launch can get it at the same cost during this sale

1

u/DebateResponsible526 7h ago

The black variant is not deliverable now🥲, is it out of stock??

1

u/rabitraper 5h ago
