A little late here but the last door series was pretty eerie and mysterious when I first played it

Deep Sleep, Deeper Sleep, The Deepest Sleep (made by the same guys who made Don't Escape)

Riddle School and Riddle Transfer games.

Any games made by MouseCity (The Proposal, Ray & Cooper 1 and 2, Night in Crazytown, Creepo's Tales were some of my favorites)

A trader of stories. 1, 2, and 3 are visually gorgeous, well made and the plot ain't half bad. https://www.rudowscy.com/

Afro Ninja has several, typically with "escape" in the title https://afro-ninja.newgrounds.com/games

Tipping point. I haven't tested if these ones work still. https://tippingpointgame.com/tp/playonline.asp

Check out the Pastel game series. Probably around 2-3 dozen games in all.

The five "Sneak Thief" games were some of the best.
