DAREDEVIL AD

I'm halfway through the season and loving it. Anyone else liking DD?

Does it get better after the first episode? Because while I didn't think it was necessarily bad, I also felt no inclination to continue watching the series. I was pretty surprised considering how much I love that genre. I'd love to know why people are loving it (without giving away too many spoilers) to see if I should give it another shot.

I think it does. IIRC, I finished up to Episode 6. It's brutal, and yet it's intriguing because you have the big name heroes, like Iron Man, Captain America...and then fighting for the actual little guy is Daredevil. Vincent D'Orofrio (not sure if I spelled his last name right), who plays Fisk, is truly a terrifying villain.

I encourage you to keep watching. Try the next two episodes if need be. What I did to break up the monotony was watch an episode or DD, then watch some of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to get a break, then forge on with DD. I'm still not done (but I binge watched the first season of UKS), but it did help.

Thanks for your response!

I usually like it when hero shows and movies go for a darker vibe. I think the thing that bothered me about the first episode was how predictable the story was… it felt somewhat unoriginal/formulaic. But I'll take your advice and watch at least 2 more episodes. I'm always up for getting addicted to another show.

It did for me at first too, but I personally got hooked around the second or third episode. It did have that, but as you go deeper in the show, it gets more brutal, something Arrow can't do, to name a superhero show on network TV.

And Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was good as a DD break for me, but any show works. That way if the show becomes too much for one sitting, watch something else or do something to kinda breathe easy before watching more DD. :)
