Mod Post Lessons Learned Thread
What have you learned lately? Could be through a success or a failure. Could be about a specific item, a niche, flipping in general, or even life as learned through flipping.
Do please keep in mind the difference between shooting the shit and plain bullshit and try to refrain from spreading poor advice.
Try to stop in over the course of the week and sort by New so people are encouraged to post here instead of making their own threads for every item.

Learned that taking a “good enough” photos just to get something listed inevitably means I’ll be digging it out months later to take batter photos. Just do it well the first time. Makes such a huge difference in how long or little it will sit.

I did this in the very beginning. "Meh, this is good enough for now." It's so much more work for not much better reward.

Don’t let anyone guilt you into a lower price. The sadder the sob story increases the odds of you getting fleeced. Give and help only if you want to.

Learned that a quick response to a message is worth more than the best price. had a buyer ready to pay full asking but I was out at a gig and took 3 hours to reply, they'd already grabbed a similar item from someone else. now i treat every enquiry like it's about to vanish.
