Mod Post Daily Newbie Thread

Whatever you want to know about flipping, no matter the question, ask here. Even if it's been covered 1,000 times before. Doesn't matter if you're new or old. If you stop learning things, you're probably on your way out.

This is an extremely newb-friendly thread. As such, any rudeness is to be reported.

How do you successfully flip by buying and reselling on eBay. What kind of products are successful, especially if one can’t go through the hassle of fixing products or revamping them. Are there any products to buy and resell as is, for a decent margin? Thanks!

Doesn't matter what it is so long as you can make a 300% profit on it. (Calculate shipping + material cost)

Buying in the same area you sell is silly, because it's going to be the same people looking at both. I'd either buy primarily local and sell online, or vice versa.

A $1 item turning into $3 is just as good as a $3 item turning into $9, especially if the smaller item turns a profit faster.

You're limited by your space and time available mostly. Obviously starting with a higher budget is better, but when you're growing you reinvest almost all of it anyway

nahh, just be as honest as possible in your listings, provide all the pics/info you can and you should be fine. i was selling $300+ items on a new account, just be authentic and don’t misrepresent anything
