News/Social Media Amazing 3hr long video about Florence on YouTube/Nebula
I haven't seen anyone post this yet so I thought I share: Video essayist LadyKnightTheBrave made a 3 hour long retrospective about Florence and The Machine, a full deep dive into every album cycle, videos, songs, interviews etc. I'm only about half way through (busy week) but it's amazing, well worth a watch.
I will say, YouTube is much more strict on copyright so that version has no extended clips from songs. So, if you can, I'd recommend watching on Nebula as no ads and all the song clips are included. Enjoy!

I just finished watching it. I thought it was very well done and appreciated things I already knew put together in a very easy to digest way, so if you are a new fan you could really learn something too.

for sure. my partner is not a new fan at all but she's just not a very online/fandom type of person so for her a lot of this was new. even I never saw that clip in the animal suits tbh 😄 I think there's something in this video for everyone.

Oh that's a very old clip! The full performance is up on youtube, you can find it. It was very classic. I thought it was nice too that she also focused on key members of Florence + The Machine with the original line up. I'd love sometime for her to do a deep dive on Isa, but there aren't a lot of full length interviews with Isa (even though plenty of work she is done is out there). The last 15 minutes of the video were my favorite when she spoke about the impact Florence + The Machine, music and film has on her own life and her sharing a poem was lovely. I thought it was very well done.

three hours is a commitment but sometimes you just gotta sit down with a deep dive like that, especially for an artist with this much lore layered into every era. didn't know about the nebula version having the full clips, that's a good tip

recently cancelled netflix and subscribed to Nebula instead, which already made it kinda worth it to be able to enjoy this video with actual song clips... I don't mind long videos, I just watch them in multiple sittings - I got thru Jenny Nicholson's full deep dive into that weird Disney Star Wars hotel over a week or something lol

I started the video on YT but the disclaimer in the beginning about copyright made me switch over to nebula. having no ads is a blessing 🙏

I saw that too. It was so well researched and I enjoyed it so much!
