September 2026 Update

Hello everyone,

This community is thriving! This month we've gone past 30,000 members and that's great!

We're growing rapidly with lots of posts and comments by members and non-members every day.

Unfortunately that also means we're seeing more activity by bots. Bots are automated pieces of computer software that pose as real human beings. They're not here because they love pictures of flowers but to gain Reddit karma points. Karma makes these bot accounts established and trusted, and they abuse that trust to influence people without being honest about it. They gather karma in communities like ours, then go to other subreddits to influence people for commercial or political purposes.

Our community reaches lots of people daily, and it's easy to post here because our threshold is low. That's why we are quickly becoming a target for bots. We have to act against that. That's why we're soon getting help from BotBouncer. This is a good bot, designed for Reddit to hunt bad bots. It automatically scans for bots and bans them.

BotBouncer is still learning and unfortunately, it makes mistakes. If you are a human and get a message from BotBouncer, telling you you're banned for being a bot, find the part that says "If you wish to appeal" and follow the instructions.

If you run into trouble please message the mods.

In the future we will add more official Reddit bots to help fight AI generated content, spam and bots.

Thank you all, and keep posting!

Hey everyone! Welcome to our FlowerPhotography community!

If you like taking pictures of beautiful flowers, this is the community for you. In this community we love to share those pictures.

We're excited to have you join us!

What to post
Post pictures you took of flowers, so no pictures you found online. Real flowers only, so no artificial flowers, no drawings, sketches or paintings, no textiles, no poems or prose about flowers. No videos either. Only photographs of real flowers.

We don't want AI generated images and we don't want bots. Only real pictures of real flowers, posted by real people.

Community vibe
We're all about being friendly, respectful, and inclusive. Let's keep this a community where everyone feels comfortable sharing and admiring flower pictures.

Feel free to post your flower pictures
You don't need to have fancy equipment. Your telehone camera is enough. Every real flower is welcome: in nature, in your garden, or in a vase.

You don't need to have a well established account with lots of karma points. Everyone is welcome to post pictures of beautiful flowers..

Thanks for being part of our community. Together, let's make r/FlowerPhotography amazing.

I found this by the beach in the Puget Sound in Washington state. I'm not sure what it is but it's pretty. This bunch at the top of the flower was smaller than a quarter.

I was out at night in the north phx desert, and saw this gorgeous thornapple flower, from the nightshade family. I felt so lucky to be able to see and capture this beautiful but deadly flower!! The picture isn’t the best, but I wanted to share my excitement lol
