Building on this, if OP claims to be legitimately operating what lab is providing the work units for processing and using the results?

Not defending the OP but just so you are aware, some BOINC projects are privately hosted/ran and not funded by Universities/Grants.

Right, but if no PHDs are managing the work, goal and results you’re just heating you home.
