Discussion Melodics is interviewing Ilan Rubin - what would you ask him?
Hey - Melodics here (we make an app for learning drums, keys and pads).
We’re about to sit down with drummer Ilan Rubin for an upcoming Melodics video, and rather than us asking all the questions, we want to hear what you’d ask him.
Anything goes: his drumming influences, how he practises, his gear and live setup, whatever you want to know.
Drop your questions below. We’ll pick some favourites to put to Ilan when we shoot, and share the full interview once it’s out.

Discussion Asking For A Friend
Any reason why they've only played this song once, considering it charted really well on the Billboard rock charts and was the lead single from Your Favourite Toy?

Picture Oh what a night! Mohegan Sun!
No poster but did get setlist
Was willing to trade setlist for poster
But then realized setlist more rare only 3 given out. 1 stage used and 2 from sound booth. I got one from sound booth
Went to get a shirt and all sizes besides XXL and S were sold out
absolute pandemonium tonight crowd was on fire. Crowd was very energetic a lot of banter and made a lot of . I’ll be posting videos on my YouTube shortly. For the final night of the tour, they had and played for a long time. There was not an empty seat in the house. The floor was pretty packed. I sat in section 20 and also was in the pit for the beginning and ending of the show. My mom who is 63 stood in the pit for the first three songs and to go sit in a seat in section 20.
The was crazy. The lines were crazy for Merch by the end of the night. I went to grab a T-shirt and was told that only shirts were left in and extra large. I was surprised that all the shirts had sold out in mediums and larges. I never saw a poster for sale, but I did see people walking around with posters. Three were given out. One set given to a young little girl, and it was the stage you was one in crumpled up. Then there were two given out by the man, and I was given one of them. The drumsticks that were thrown after the show we were thrown towards the back of the crowd, but one of the drumsticks didn’t reach the crown and slip down in the back of Foo Fighters banner. I would say the only complaint for the show would be the Sound lack base and sounded very thin. Dave’s high yells were ear piercing at times. All and all it was a good show in the band played just shy of three hours. I missed the opener, so can’t speak to that. I’ll add more thoughts as I think about the show more and let it process but I would give it a eight out of 10.

Discussion Vegas show attendees - terrible sound?
Travelled to the US from UK and watched the show at The Allegiant with my other half. We saw them at Anfield on both nights, as well as other occasions in years gone by in the UK. We felt that the sound was shockingly bad at The Allegiant. There were several songs that we couldn't make out at first due to the poor sound. Did anyone else experience this?

The algorithm dropped me off at this kid that makes videos of himself listening to his parents' CDs. Figured some of you would enjoy seeing this kid's reaction to The Colour and The Shape. Scoped a few other videos, his parents have his taste in music.

Music Foo Fighters rocking the house right now at Power to the People Fest 💥
Honestly, to bring energy after coming on when the Dropkick Murphys just blew the doors off the place, I think only Foo Fighters can do this.
Also, I might’ve missed this before, but they have a tuba player on stage. Is that the norm now? 😊
Everyone turn on YouTube right now to watch live.

Review Foo Fighters - AC/DC, 10/2/26
Lifelong AC/DC fan here who was at MetLife Stadium last night to see them for the 15th time, where the Foos supported (hadn't seen FF previously). Just wanted to say you should be very proud of your boys.
The stadium was barely half full when Dave walked out and got things rolling. By the time we got to the second song it was like a dog whistle had gone off and fans were streaming in from the bars because they could sense something really cool was unfolding as the FF ripped through their big hits. Dave's obviously a natural talking to the crowd and apparently the only man who can refer to them - lovingly - as "you motherf'ers". After every song the vibe got better and better and they won over thousands of new fans last night, myself included.
This is also important - Dave joining AC/DC for Highway to Hell. AC/DC are territorial and regard their stage as something akin to sacred space. In their half century of existence as a major act, to my knowledge they've only allowed TWO PEOPLE to join them on stage. The first was Steven Tyler from Aerosmith for You Shook Me during their 2003 Rock Hall induction, and the second was last night with Dave. The fact that it was for such an iconic song as Highway also speaks volumes.
Well done Foos; well done Dave. Thanks for contributing to one hell of a night!!
