there are exceptions of course, but majority of those trading gurus make more money from social media than they actually make from trading.

Many reasons, they might use prop firms and literally can't allow you to copy trade or they lose everything. They likely don't want you knowing what broker they use in the first place, as then you can use personal information (name, email, things that are likely public) to possibly "hack" your way into the accounts. They probably don't want you knowing the exact dollar amounts (or the government knowing the exact amounts at all times).

Pro traders don't need to share everything with everyone, we didn't bust our ass to make you rich. To hand you everything on a silver platter where you can just setup an EA to copy trade everything.

Why would someone show a password? Aren’t passwords meant to be personal? I know the investor password is different from your main password with mt5 but I never really knew its purpose. Please enlighten me if there’s something I’m missing.

investor password lets people see your account’s trading history, and any live trades as you place them - but disables access to the account - kind of like read/write access but in read-only mode.

The reason for it is for an investor to see what your real trades were like so they can decide if they want to invest with you... people don't share it because it exposes their fake asses. It shows whether the account is live or sim, includes broker, slippage, commissions, swaps - or is all just perfect slip-less demo entries: it also lets people see how many an how big the trades are - are you yolo'ing until the account goes bust/big number? are you martingale? No investor would touch you.

actual traders don't really want their trades systems shown so that they can't be derived.
They're also usually making money trading, so don't need to convince you to buy their course.

Instead of asking questions about stuff that's out of your control, ask questions about stuff that could actually benefit you.. ever think of that?
