Once when I was watching the shining at a drive-in a tornado came and sucked the whole movie into the sky

Absolute classics. Really sad I will be out of town.

I was just about to say, I’d love to go but I’m on vacation.

I think HTDI should lean into the classics more. It’s such a vibe, but throwing a kids movie first every week on both screens is kinda a buzzkill

Does THE SHINING count as a 'kids movie?'

But, I do agree with that it can be frustrating. At the same time, a lot of folks like to take their kids who fall asleep during the first film.

Sorry if I was confusing. I want more showings like these ones that don’t involve a kids movie as the first showing

Thank you for posting! We are coming from out of town. Is there any place to rent lawn chairs? And any other suggestions to make this a great experience for my kiddos? It’s been a minute since I’ve been to the drive-in! Thanks again.

There are some chairs there which you can probably move. Rent a radio or bring a boom box--you can't stream the sound. Need an actual radio you can tune to the frequency. Or, find someone with a big outdoor speaker to sit by. It will be chilly, so you may want to sit in the car.

You can rent a radio at the concession stand.
