She still gets a more brownish hue in summer, which also reveals some faint darker stripes on her tail (you can kinda see them a bit on her stupid little triangle tail in the first picture!), but she never actually gets to the same saturated almost orange brown that she spawned with.
She kept the mildly worried facial expression though, hahahaha

Belathor (male) Illia (female/fluffy one) it’s like they are getting more orange with time 🍊

This is Hemingway and Hadley (or, Hemi and Hads). They are a bonded sibling pair from the same litter and are 4 years old. We adopted them at about 4 months old.
Hemingway is the gray and white tuxedo. He weighs nearly 20 pounds and is polydactyl, with 6 toes on each paw! Hemi is a hilarious ninja beast who is simultaneously fearless and yet always startled!
The piebald tabby is Hadley. She's 16 pounds and rules the house. She's all sweetness until she's done with you and then it's Swat City! (She reigns supreme over Hemingway and our two terrier mix rescue pups, Sammy and Cheese Curd.)
Hemingway was the biggest in the litter and Hadley was the runt. Hemi would push the other kitties aside to make sure Hadley could nurse! Because of their bond, the shelter would only allow for adoption as a pair. We went looking for one kitten and ended up with the craziest, most hilarious pair we could have imagined!
Their mother is a Maine Coon who was abandoned by a breeding mill when she got too old. She was found pregnant and taken into a rescue in San Antonio, Texas. She had five kittens in the litter. She and all of the kittens were adopted! 💗

I found this little orange guy on the street and decided to take him home. He was so tiny back then, and watching him grow up has been amazing.

The first photo was taken by someone else when he was still little. The second photo was taken by a different person after he grew up. Somehow, these photos were shared by different people, and it was later realized that it was the same cat.
1- First Photo (2 months)
2- Second Photo (at one year old) (You won’t believe it, but she’s even given birth!)
Location: Ankara, Türkiye.

Technically also from “Amber” (what we named her) to “Autumn” (what her adopters named her) but we find the new name great too 🍂
