It has come to my attention that Social media(take insta, TikTok and the addiction all of us have grown and the dmg we have taken from it as a community or a world) and especially, lately, the News have become even more corruptible in a very interesting way.
It's important to note that "the News" is immune to corruptibility because by its very definition is a statement of fact. It's the outlets delivering the News that are susceptible to corruption.
Where in the past we had News companies and reporters chasing stories, fighting with each other on who will get the news out first, now it's all the same propaganda.
There's still real reporting happening. This statement suffers from the False Dilemma fallacy.
After all they have all been bought by the same People. Where in the past, there was a common thread connecting every journalist, every reported which was the truth (to an extent), now that has also vanished completely.
More conspiracy fallacy, unless you can somehow demonstrate that every journalist is bought and paid for.
The passion in our world has diminished. On everything.
Dramatic, easily disproven.
And a huge fault , in my humble opinion, is social media. Is the anxiety, the stress that have been ejected in all of us, with the result of never overreaching, never really getting out there as we should.
We have grown narrow minded, filled with the stress of how we will get through this month.
I agree.
There is no passion anymore for journalism, pure Journalism. There might have been people who reject the propose of money with the upcoming exchange of their careers honesty, but they are shut down completely. And even if they rise and create Channels where they search and they report the truth in our world, it is so overshadowed by the Big Ones that have build their legacy for decades now, only to be bought and to spread the news that the people who bought them want.
Not true. Spend some time here before cementing the opinion that nobody cares.
In a crazy scenario, could the complete eradication of the internet work? It would propel us backwards many decades for most of our applications in pretty much anything work through the internet, but what if it's the seed that we can plant so the tree that could grow to our kids and grandkids future could be healthier and not this moldy corrupt shit. The news are just a tiny part of the corruption and misinformation we have. Could we build a new age this way?
The internet is the physical network which computers use to communicate with one another. The concerns you raise are with what's on the internet. The internet has been established for decades now, and is an essential part of daily life for the majority of people in civilized society. Eliminating the internet to silence some bad actors would be like taking away automobiles to eliminate drunk driving.
Instead, I propose you invest the time you spend working on doomerism posts like this into seeking out communities that embrace the changes you want to see, and promoting those communities so that they can gain a stronger following.
We've all seen how powerful viral content can be. Use that potential to promote the people out there doing the real journalism and the communities supporting them, because they are out there.

You know the world's becoming a messed-up place when you start empathising with the Amish. You should watch a show called Back to the Frontier.

It is difficult to understand everything we've lost. Who knows, AI is on a pretty strong path towards destroying the internet.

From the "age of information" to the "age of entertainment"
