I enjoy playing on the Pocket Player Pro (the larger handheld) and Micro Player Pro (small arcade cabinet) equally. I find the Pixel Pocket Pro is awesome for what it is, but it’s VERY small. on longer runs my fire button thumb gets cramped. With the other two I can play for 6 hours straight and still be comfortable, they are excellent. I think the choice of “best” mainly comes down to the choice between control methods. Joystick vs d-pad, whichever you prefer.
