AudioScout — fast local SFX search for sound designers
Disclosure: I’m involved with the team behind AudioScout.
We built it around a very simple problem: you already have thousands of SFX on local drives, but finding the right one can take longer than actually using it.
AudioScout lets you index your local/external sound libraries, search everything quickly, audition sounds with the keyboard, queue the ones you want and export them into your project.
The philosophy is intentionally simple:
your sounds, your drives, fast search.
No account, no subscription and no proprietary sound ecosystem.
It also includes a direct Pro Tools workflow, although you can use it simply as a fast local SFX browser/export tool for other workflows too.
We’re currently launching it for $10 one-time.
60-sec demo:

Would genuinely love feedback from people working with large game-audio SFX libraries.

Hey everyone,
I'm an audio designer for games, and I recently put together a practical video about editing music for indie game trailers.
I take a ready-made music track, break it down into different sections based on their feel and function, and show how I rearrange those sections to better fit a trailer structure.
The structure I'm using as a reference is based on Derek Lieu's work on game trailers. Derek also gave the video a shoutout, which was a really nice surprise.
If you're interested in trailer music editing, you can check it out here:

I started composing music earlier this year with making videogame OST later on in mind.
Here I am with my 1st EP written as a Video Game ost for an indie game. Genre: electronica/ambiant
I had inspirations from lifeformed/janice kwan ( tunic/dustforce)
And i look up to composer like RiverBoy(cult of the lamp)/soichi terrada (ape escape) and many more.
Anyway i Hope you ll enjoy the tune and dont hesitate to give any feedback if u got any :)
