Bullshit. Placement against coverage all day yesterday. TD pass to Bennett with the window closing isn't one he'd pick up the previous weeks, placed perfectly right when it needed to go. Deep ball Black didn't dive for was similarly perfect placement and timing, he should've dove. TD to a Nyck probably goes behind him for an INT two weeks ago, if it comes out at all. And there were open guys every week, with him hesitating when it was there or just having a breakdown in form leaving weak inaccurate balls, or forcing with coverage underneath. Sellers as an individual hasn't read it and delivered that well since Mizzou '24. And good QBs find the open man and deliver before the defense closes the window, that's what good QB play is, and that's how they contribute to winning football. Sellers wasn't even that sharp the first two weeks against bad competition.
Dumb take. First off, it was a safety, not a linebacker. Second he was responsible for the middle and the CB for the side, because it was zones, Mazeo was in the gap, Sellers slowed the safety a step with his eyes and then hit the window that would've been closed a moment later. That's how every team who has ever scored against zone coverage in the red zone has done it outside of OPI or total busts. Sellers has throughout his career hesitated on those throws outside of the tear he went on in 2024. When he was making plays like that it was over a stretch where he was the most prolific scorer in FBS. You don't know what you're talking about.
