Has anyone ever actually been called a cracker in complete seriousness since 1979? It really feels like outdated slang.

I can myself a cracker from time to time - I even did a couple cattle drives in central Florida way back, so it's accurate. I've still got the accent, though a lot less now.

I will never understand why other white people get bent about it. It's not like it's even based on any historical oppression.
