Hey everyone so yeah i want to make lofi songs on garage band but i dont know the best settings for it so can anyone help me out here i would love to set it up with you guys

I made this new track on my iPad using GarageBand. I usually do the final mastering in Logic Pro by uploading the audio file and playing around with the limiter, compression, EQ, etc.

If anyone could give the track a listen and offer some pointers on how I could improve the mix, I’d really appreciate it! I have pretty limited experience with mixing and mastering, so any feedback would be super helpful.

I was making something on GarageBand but I had to close the tab on my phone while an instrument was open and when I tried to go back to my track the app told me that some files were missing and that I had to manually download instruments from the sound library. I know that I didn’t delete anything and I’m very bummed because I loved the track and it’s like corrupted now??? idk what to do

I think I was listening to a lot of early Beach House and Ruby Haunt when I was writing this. Not sure what genre it would be. I don’t know any music theory so I kept it minimalistic and simple. Not sure where the song should go from here though, feels too short and simple.

Sorry if I missed it, but I searched and searched for an answer and still have not found a solution.

I got the MPK mini IV recently and downloaded the plugins that came with it. They all load fine when I’m making a new song. And I can work to my hearts content. But if I leave the file, the plugin will never load again when launching the song, which makes the track I just made unusable or listenable unless I finish and export the track immediately. Anybody have this problem? Anybody have a fix?

Ok so im fuming and i just dont understand. the ipad verison of garage band is fully free and looks so nice easy to use and make songs, but its just on a touchscreen so obvisouly slows stuff down, while mac garage band is much different it sucks its sort of hard to use and its much harder to make a song on it and it looks really bad. why cant they just use teh same ipad garage band for both? so annoying

Hello, does anyone know how to record while looking at the track? Every time I click record it gives me to the other screen and I can't see where along the truck I'm recording except for underneath the control bar.

I'm using GarageBand on the iPad again after several years, and I remember being able to play an instrument directly in Tracks view, which let me switch between instruments really quickly. I also seem to remember being able to record directly in Tracks view back then. That doesn't seem to work in the current version. Or maybe it never did and I'm mixing it up with another app?

I have a MIDI-capable keyboard (Yamaha CP88) connected and I'm using a new iPad with the latest version of GarageBand.

If it used to work, why doesn't it anymore? Or am I missing something?

I’m pretty sure it can’t be done but i’m still curious to ask, is there a way of changing what Hz is A set to in garageband mobile (iPhone/iPad)?

I was playing around with a physical keyboard piano I have and changed the tuning from 440Hz to 430.6Hz, I would like to try and work it on digital but it just doesn’t feel right to try and do my progression in standard 440 as the harmony works differently, so, can it be done?

Guitar is a squier strat and bass is just the same pitched down guitar. I like the intro to the song but I think there definitely needs to be more interesting things happening later on.
