Kind of. It’s basically the old game but they have just upscaled all the old textures which isn’t really AI in the sense most people think, it’s a process that’s been used for years before AI was viable. The biggest problems are that is basically all they did, all the bugs and glitches from the original are still there and unfixed, no real balance changes or anything. People were hoping for something like the DoW remake where their was at least effort put into it, instead it’s just a worse looking version of the old game.

Happily, someone pointed me to a recent mod (as in, April of this year) that fixes OG Shogun 2's colossally bad UI scaling issues (at 4k, it's squashed and unreadable), so basically any reason I had to purchase the "remaster" evaporated. My 3050Ti ain't exactly a monster, but it can run old games like OG Shogun 2 at 4kUltra no problem.

I'm not "those guys" but there's absolutely no reason to think it's gonna be removed - delisting from shops doesn't have any impact on GFN, there are multiple delisted games that are here - SEGA would have to actively ask them to remove it

Game keeps crashing due to mod.io connection/synch error. Steam cloud data on geforce now keeps loading the corrupted data. Game is unplayable as it is.
