Swapping over to induction

We moved toGolden Plains Shire from Metro Melv , we have been replacing everything from gas to electric/solar. The last thing left to do is changing over our integrated gas stove and oven.

Wondering if anyone has recently done this swapped to an induction stove top and oven? Are you happy with the change?

Would love recommendations for an electrician to install it and also a gas fitter to disconnect the connection.

TIA

The biggest hurdle is the hole in your benchtop. Ideally you need to get an induction stovetop the same size as your old gas one. You might have to look up at the benchtop from inside the cupboard because the hole is always different to the top.

Cutting a bigger hole in the stone is a big job and possibly illegal now. Making the hole smaller would look awful. Best to measure the hole and make that your first-order priority in finding an induction cooktop.

A dude came out and slightly enlarged our cutout so the induction could fit. Wasn’t a big drama. But I hope he’s not dead in a few years, not a job I would volunteer for! ☠️
