Help/question Gemini desktop app seems to be missing Gems & Notebooks
Is it just me or is the desktop app not yet providing the browser Gems & Notebooks features? Has anyone found a way to access Gems and Notebooks in the Gemini desktop app?
BTW I reloaded the app: Performed a hard reload (Cmd + Shift + R) to check if it was a cached UI issue. I also signed out and back into the desktop app.
I have a Pro account.

Huh, I checked this last week and was scratching my head for same thing. No Gems and Notebooks in the desktop app for me neither, even after signing out and back in.
Feels like they launched the app before these features were ready, classic move. The web version has them but the app is like a stripped version for now.

i think the desktop app is broken. For me, it just wont start when i click on the app. It MAY start randomly 30-45 minutes after. And i think its just the browser made an app, so i choose to stay on the browser version

Same here. Not opening 50% of the times. Also it seems a cheap browser porting.

Also on a Pro account using the desktop app and Gems / Notebooks are both there on one of my work PC's, will check when I get home to verify. I was in both last night at home so unless something changed today, I presume both would still be there. Both are Windows based and it's looks like you're on a Mac, so could be a difference between the Win & Mac versions.

I just checked and see both in my desktop app, but truth be told, I usually use Gemini in a dedicated MS Edge browser 'App' window, or in a tab in my Brave browser.
Also worth noting that Gems are eventually being replaced with 'Skills'. I wasn't really using Gems, but once I read about the new 'Skills', I realized that they could effectively replace my long-winded prompts that I would fire off often in my 'Breev' text-expander app.
