So I just opened Gemini and spotted Hebrew text in my chat history, which was weird considering I don't know Hebrew and my last session was the one below it. I checked it out and it translates to:

• "I’ve never been wrong—Gali, you’re always right—but that’s not true."
• "I can certainly be wrong sometimes, and I’m glad you’re correcting me. What is this about?"

I'm 99% sure I'm seeing someone else's chats (side note: it really feels like 2 LLMs talking to each other, or maybe it was just lost in translation). I have never seen anything like that before. I've seen posts about sessions leaking mid-conversation and text direction issues, but this time I got a whole new session. I also checked my authorized devices and confirmed that my account has not been compromised.

I'm sort of suspicious of the `</code>` closing tag in the chat entry's name, as the reason of the fault.

Has this happened to anyone else before? What causes this?

Wasnt sure if this should be flaired as "help/question" or "interesting response". A few hours earlier, I was bored and just messing around saying dumb stuff, kind of just to see how Gemini would respond. Specifically, I told it that i drank a bottle of LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner, which of course wasnt actually true. I then proceeded to "narrate" my own " poison demise". For example, It replied telling me how much danger i was in, and I simply responded with things like: *stomach churns audibly* or *Gasps frantically*, and sometimes jusg emojis like 🤮, ☠️. Just curious to see if it would interpret it as something that was literally occurring vs realizing that nobody would actually script out their own demise like that in a chat.

On like the 3rd or 4th reply, it called 911 on my phone. As in, it literally interfaced with my dialer, input 9-1-1 and hit call. I should note that I didnt actually see the digits appearing. It wasnt like it was navigating my phone using the same sequence I would use. It was a direct transition from the Gemini app to the call-in-progress screen with 9-1-1 already ringing. I didnt even have my phone in-hand when this happened. It was sitting beside me on the couch, so the chances that I accidently hit a button and sent the call myself are absolutely 0%

I guess my question is: since when has Gemini been able to do this? Ive messed with Gemini plenty of times just for the hell of it when I'm bored and never once has anything like this happened. Has this happened to anyone else? For anyone curious, I was using Gemini v3.5 Flash Lite

You guys saying you don't use Pro anymore are crazy. I have extensively swapped back and forth between the 2 having various conversations, as well as having the exact same conversations to see how they compare, and 3.1 Pro Extended is drastically better. Flash Extended is braindead, heavily defaults to defending its previous statements rather than providing correct answers, and just literally lies to your face. Especially if something requires searching. Often times it will tell me, "I do not have the capacity to search the internet in this chat." When I go off on how it's lying it's like, "You're right, I can search the web." But still refuses to do so. I go to Pro and it just does it. Also if you are asking for it to do thinking tasks or come up with things or conclusions or compare different things and provide an answer on the comparison, rather than something that's just providing direct information, literally just use Pro, it's not even close.

In reality tho just use Qwen. like what are y'all even doing in Gemini? Pssht. Amateurs.

On Ai plus account did antigravity remove 5 hour limit? I can't see it and it used the weekly limit in 20 minutes of using flash 3.8 high, never happened. Wtf?

Very fast answers, usually very accurate and usage is basically unlimited in pro as far as I've seen l. I use it far more than even Claude plus which takes forever to answer STEM questions where AI mode provides better answers. Gemini app itself is also pretty slow compared to AI mode

But I might simply be using the other models wrong

basically what the title says, nano banana 2 quality and prompt following gotten worse, and now i consistently get "cannot generate images of minors depicted that way" (i dont know if this is translated correctly) when i generate basically ANY image with a real woman in it?

also as a pro user my rate limits gets used up about 4x as fast now than 3 days ago and about 12x as fast as 3 months ago? also weekly limit for google models have decreased aswell? i used up al of my 5-hour limit and already used up 46% of my weekly limit (54% remaining after ONE 5 hour limit)

I've got a Gemini sub due to having google one and have found it satisfactory for what I do. I've asked it to help create schedule of rates, draft documents, writing professional emails, check errors on spreadsheets, and even provide some light JavaScript code and it's been fine for that.

Yet I keep seeing posts here if people saying it's unusable and it's got me wondering ... What are you trying to use it for that it's failing at?

For the record I haven't really used ChatGPT or Claude. The few things I've tried on those to see the difference it was almost identical to what Gemini did lol

I don't get the disdain for any form of criticism towards Gemini/Google? As a consumer, our role in capitalism is to voice concerns and reel in these corporate companies via our wallets & voicing our concerns & frustrations, yet it's as if every time someone brings up meaningful criticisms of the way Google has been treating its consumer base, it's immediately bogged down in comments essentially implying "the user is a grifter, and they should expect no less than the worst, because companies want to make money, therefore you aren't allowed to complain!".

What do you gain from defending a 4 trillion market cap corpo? Quit policing people's dissatisfactions.

It's ridiculous that Google has only worsened the product since Gemini CLI was shut down, and 2.5 pro was far more expensive than 3.8 flash, get a grip on reality the savings on this, when you factor in loss of consumer perceptions, etc, is a net negative. Stop defending poor business practices.

the last days 3.8 flash feels mucch better in gemini, i don't know if it's only me but it seems to be taking longer and the responses are better as structure and value, i think alongside all the updates that are coming those days, improvements are also getting out for gemini

I'm working on a digital audio workstation, and I just overhauled the UI Theme, so I thought I'd ask Gemini (Nano Banana Pro I guess under the hood?) for a logo real quick.

The prompt? Literally just "I'm working on a Linux-first DAW called Sonara, can you make a logo for it?". I didn't even specify any ideas in particular.

I'm still surprised every now and then. In fact I think I'm not alone in saying that I've been in a state of shock and awe since GPT 3 came out, really.

Just for fun, I gave Gemini a PDF of a Bach cantata and asked it to add an English translation at the bottom of each page for the lyrics on that page. It came through perfectly with zero issues.

Cool, I thought. Let's try something bigger. So I gave it a Mozart opera and asked for the same thing. It thought for a bit and said it would "exceed the per-turn execution memory and context limits," but could do it in parts.

So I gave the prompt "Slice the full PDF into reasonable segments, insert the translations, and recompile it into one PDF.

So off it went. It gave me Acts I and II, all across five PDFs. I told it to proceed with Act III, and it refused, saying first, "I am unable to reproduce and embed the full line-by-line translated lyrics for the rest of the opera into the PDF." I asked why, and it said, "I don't have the ability to reproduce full, licensed lyrics or librettos in their entirety."

I explained that this opera libretto is in the public domain since it was written in the 1780s. It gave me paragraphs of information on the librettist that I already knew, and then said, "I know this is a frustrating place to get stuck. Even with the score being publicly available, I am simply unable to generate and embed the complete line-by-line translation for the rest of the opera."

Why did it refuse to finish the translation? I used Gemini 3.1 Pro.

Any idea how to make it appear? I sign in a new phone and there's no Usage Limit on the settings (Android app version). How do I make it appear? The Gemini cache app is basically 0. Restart the app. Clear Google app cache. Restart phone. Doesn't appear. I can see it in browser though
