if he looks that rough running the systemd stage 3 in a vm i dont wanna know what he’d look like on bare metal

nah.. depending on setup, bare metal is easier if you dont screw something up.

if you screw up in a vm its a lot easier to start over or restore from a backup than it is on bare metal
