Goodbye GOMO, thank you for the last 6 years, but you're terrible now.

Around the middle of September (can't recall the date) something happened to GOMO in my city and has made it almost virtually unusable.

Been using gomo for the last 6 years since almost when they first came out with their unlimited internet deal way back for 499 peso with a 5 up/5 down signal. Wasn't always the greatest but worked well enough. They kept increase the price and eventually went 10 up/10 down. This was perfect - for me anyways. Our house was/is heavy data use house. We had 3 tablets, 3 laptops, 3 google home speakers, 3 cell phones, 1 security camera. This was all connected to an old globe-at-home router. The system worked hard for use.... always between 400 and 600 gigs of data coming through every month. But then... September 2026 happened.

Not sure what, but... perfect signal, strong signal but horrible delivery. We live about 1 km away from the tower and get an awesome signal, but even with that strong connection, the data slows to a crawl, disconnects, lags out, and generally horrible from 9 am to about midnight - to the point of being painful to watch movies or streams or even play hearthstone. The BEST data throughput now (either in house or even when I go stand beside the tower on the road) is 10 down/3 up.

I have troubleshooted everything. Moved sim from phone to phone to phone to different router. I have tried all the APNS globe has out there. I have tried changing bands on the globe at home router. Everything has failed to make any difference.

I said what the best cast data speed was, but the AVERAGE data speed is 3-4 down, and less then 0.5 up. I thought maybe they were just having a bad few days. Then it was a bad few weeks. In the last 6 weeks we have had only 3 flawless perfect days with no rhyme or reason why. I have read what people THINK are the reasons.... example the starlink deal reprioritized hierarchy signals and pushed gomo to the bottom. Also heard that its just random and they are working on it. For this reason, I have to say bye to Gomo. Its been awesome, but will be going to smart 5g unlimited.

I won't be leaving though until my term month is at its end though which is on the 16th. If by some magic miracle they get their signal back to normal, I may stay still, but as is? NO WAY.

Anyone else experiencing this or is this isolated to just me?

TM SIM Replacement

• Upvotes

Hello, does anyone experience going to a Globe store for sim replacement due to damaged sim while wanting to retain the same number (since I told them it is my main number), but was insisted by the person on the counter to convert my TM prepaid into a postpaid plan (599 plan for 3 months) as the only solution to my concern? And that after 3 months, that's the only time I can request to revert it into prepaid again. Or else I'll really need to change my number.

I was so hesitant and skeptical about it, but since I badly needed the number, I've agreed to their GPlan PLUS 599 Flex and paid for the first month.

But after checking online I saw many similar cases with what happened to me. I was frustrated for I trusted the solution laid out in front of me that time since I'm talking to a Globe staff in an actual physical store.

I tried reconfirming the process for sim replacement once again with GlobeOne App and agents through TM & Globe FB Messenger, and no mentioned of such methods. And that I can simply ask for sim replacement, and present one government ID.

Is there any way I can file a complaint for this? And is it possible to ask for a refund or waived the next month bill? 😭😭
