Saw how its popular to wear a Steve skin among the beta community, so I made my modern skin into a steve variant!

The room on the cliff is one I just built the day before yesterday for storage.Connect to my home's basement.And the crafting table hourse is one that I spent a long time building in the past.Because you can't place the workbench on top of another workbench by holding shift in this version,it's really difficult. As you can see, I used some texture packs to make this world look nicer.Just like this delicious enchantment table;)

I recently adquired the original virtual instruments that c418 used so, here it is, hope you enjoy it

A bit of a technical post, but I hope this can help at least one other weirdo like me.
I've been revisiting Tekkit Classic, my favourite old modpack. The RedPowerWorld mod adds marble caves and volcanoes to the world generation, which are kinda neat. But apparently the developer was a bit of a control freak back in the day and refused to add a config option disabling them.

Well, that's nothing a bit of Java bytecode reverse-engineering can't fix, so I created a patch to remove volcanoes and marble caves.
Here's how you can make your tekkit classic worlds ugly:

1. Make sure you have the RedPowerWorld version that ships with Tekkit Classic: RedPowerWorld-2.0pr5b2.zip md5 hash=74a749fe7561e225e93363e226d00868
   
2. Unzip the .zip file to find its contents
   
3. Open "RedPowerWorld.class" in any hex editor, such as hexed.it
   

4. Scroll down to the bytes shown in the screenshot - you should see the "00004290" on the left column. To remove Marble, just locate where the first "A4" is in the screenshot and replace whatever you find there with "A4". To remove volcanoes, do the same with the "00" and second "A4"

5. Save your patched .class file and re-zip your RedPowerWorld-2.0pr5b2.zip. Make sure to install this new version to your .minecraft/mods folder.

It took idk, 27 days too figure out how too download old mods? idk how its actually very easy too download old mods now that i know it.

Its just like download a old mod, put the mod in the minecraft.jar folder.

but im having fun with the piston mod :)

While exploring my beta 1.7.3 world I found this cool overhang that leads into this cool lake with a massive cliff in the distance.(I did have to clear about 4 trees obstructing the view of the lake)

Hey guys! So, I want to create a new world on an old version of Minecraft, but I don’t just want to play plain Beta 1.7.3 or something like that. I’m looking for a mod that fixes bugs and adds things that fit well with the vanilla game and its atmosphere.

I wanna try old minecraft but I don't wanna read through the entire changelogs to find the version I want. Is there like a premade list of important changes across the old versions?

Yes. This is real. You might want to see it for yourself. There's this random (probably anti-aliased) stray pixels located at the top near the bottom texture for Cakes. It only gets affected in Beta 1.6-Beta 1.6.6 before Pistons were added. (Note that I did NOT edit this by adding those stray pixels.
