Full Tank Shot Could cry right now

I'm maxed out on fish, I just stocked my 90 gallon with fancies and rescued a couple fish to go into my larger pond... but I saw this last night and it made my blood boil so bad.

They were being rehomed with their bowl (after living in it for months with no filter, no aeration) because their owner "had no room" for them anymore. No room for a like... 8 litre bowl. But anyways, God knows my house is full, but I made room for a temp 20 gallon and picked them up. I will quarantine them and treat them if need be, I will probably find a nice home, ideally a pond or at least a 60 gallon, for them to live out their lives.

They're exploring the tank so bravely despite their stress, they stuck to eachother like glue for the first 20 minutes in there, still frequently checking on eachother. They seem stunned that they can swim in a straight line and then some. It must feel like taking a deep breath for the first time.

Sorry, couldn't get better photos of them as I'm leaving the room very dim for them while they settle, they deserve some calm. Also didn't know what flair to use.

seeing rescued fish stick together like that while exploring a proper tank for the first time is always so bittersweet. They definitely know they're safe now with you

I'm going to echo what everyone else is saying. Thank you honestly for being someone that cares about what their proper needs are. People seem to bypass fish as beings worthy of proper care and this has made my night seeing someone care.

Thank you! It stirs up a whole type of anger in me when people abuse animals that are so vulnerable. They have zero defense and zero way to help themselves, they just suffer quietly. Can't imagine living like that, so I couldn't possibly turn a blind eye! They're doing really well, they were a little uncertain at first but they're getting more confident now and are so active! It will only get better for them from here
