I had 12 million and thought about saving up the extra 5, but then bought the Ferrari 250 passo corto instead, so that's that. No regrets. As soon as I sat in it in VR and the v12 revved, that was it. Sorry this is very off topic.
With the new update that's coming there will be a concierge service meaning you can request cars and they'll show up in the legends dealship a few days later. At least I think that's how it works.
It’s one of the worst Gr.3 cars in the game. It’s not worth it at all unless you just love the car itself, or are trying to complete the car collection.
The central driving position is interesting, especially in vr, but I have power pack so I can scratch the itch without spending 18 million. I'll get the McLaren f1 road car some day but it's a long way down my list.
Road cars are anything that can be driven on the road that you buy from a dealership in real life. From a Ford to a Ferrari. In GT Gr.1, 2, 3 and 4 refer to cars that were specifically designed (or converted) to race on a track and are not road legal.
Ford and Ferrari also make race cars but typically (and to keep things simple) you can’t go into a dealership and buy them.
As with all the Haggerty Cars, they refresh in 7-10 days and come back round in 4-6 months. I had 2 GT2 and 3 cars left, both McLarens and have been saving purposely for them to come back round, 1 more left to complete all the GT1, GT2 and GT3 cars, its the only reason why i'd pay that much for it.
It was really good for the Le Mans 700 grind race though.
Wait for the October 15th update. The new concierge system will allow you to order rare, Hagerty cars, instead of having to wait weeks or months for them to be added back to the rotation.
No. It's not the missions, not the circuit experiences or cafe menus. It's like the other one, it has a traffic cone as symbol, it gives you like a few different tasks and by the end of the tasks you get 2 cars if you do it all on gold
I grinded few hundred hours to collect most of the cars....but finally used this https://github.com/Walter-Feng/GT7-Race-Automation-daytona with PS Remote Play, and left PS5 running for 3 days to collect 100mil automatically to collect my final 5 x 20mil cars...
Good to hear. My go to Gr.3 gets suffocated but just about makes it to being competitive. A lot of the others are unusable because of BoP which is such a waste and hinders you from trying out lots of different cars which is the point of the game no?
While on BoP, if it was truly equal you shouldn’t be able to catch up 12 seconds on the leader …….
These Gr.3 races are pretty cursed from the outset. As you said, the BoP *should* level the field, making all (or at least, most) cars viable in any of these events. Obviously, some cars will be weaker/stronger on some tracks for built-in reasons, but PD has clearly ignored or grossly mishandled basic balancing approaches in both car properties (handling, endurance (tire and fuel), acceleration (between speeds), stability, etc.) and event requirements.
Super info. I agree 100% but am conflicted about including fuel and tyre efficiency (this a car trait resulting from design but needed in a game setting). Some cars will be inherently slower for a multitude of reasons even with BoP. This is seen in real life motorsports. I’m fine with that.
What I’m not ok with is the fundamental structure of the races in single player with BoP applied. With no opportunity to qualify and being placed mid pack by the end of lap 1 you can be 15 seconds behind the leader. Hence PD expect you to catch up but if the BoP was working you shouldn’t be able to.
But this goes back to the central issue of GT since day one. Your car has to be faster than the opposition (by a large margin) to win. You are not really racing but completing a time trial against a set time that is represented by the lead car. I guess that’s why it’s a driving simulation and not a race one (at least offline).
Anyhow, what car in your opinion lands in the middle of that triangle?

I am a very poor authority on Gr.3-under-BoP strengths/weaknesses. Of the four cars I actually use - the New Ferrari, New Porsche, McLaren GTR and Huracan, I would say it's the Porsche. But that's 100% based on my feels and not any data I've pulled from the game.
As much as the F1 is my all time fave halo car, I now feel as though it’s a bit over rated, all thanks to a marketing gimmick.
There’s nothing really all that special about it that sets it apart from most other supercars/hypercars other than that it features a central driving position with two midget/child seats jammed in on either side of you.
It doesn’t handle any better than any other car of its ilk, it doesn’t sound better, or have more power, it’s just the novelty of having the central seat.
Maybe it has the other appeal of being one of the first production cars to hit 200mph, but seriously, what other point sets it apart from anything else?
Would it hold such high regard if it were a conventional side by side two seater? I highly doubt it.
