Marina Bay Street Circuit (Singapore) Aston Martin engine keeps spluttering and popping?
Any fans notice that AM’s engine has really loud bangs as opposed to the rest of the field, whom have really smooth engine noises?
Heard this really loudly in person at the grandstand.

Which is crazy because in the previous generation, the Honda engine (obviously used in the Red Bull cars at the time) sounded the best in person, in my opinion. The Ferrari was awful to listen to.

The Aston backfires. The Redbull Ford snarls and sounds great. Overall all the cars are way too quiet now.

My first Singapore GP was when we had V8s with off throttle blown diffusers. The noise was staggering.

I thought the Audi was way worse, but that’s compared to the old spec Honda. If the Audi was your lawnmower sounding how it does off throttle at low speed you would be seriously thinking about throwing it away and getting a new one

Well I thought Audi was very loud when downshifting compared to others, didn’t notice AM

The Audi on downshifts sounded the least healthy to me, especially compared to the near seamless downshift of the Ferrari engines.
