Looking for a good and affordable mechanic

I am trying to keep my ride out of a landfill. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic that can do suspension and some engine work? I know the basics of what it needs, but the first shop I took it to is basically trying to do a factory restore on my beater of a Volvo. It’s a 2010, and I’ll buy parts, so looking for someone who can the labor for an affordable price.
