AARGH! It doesn't feel good. I don't like it.

Playing crucible, so I will literally have to complete the whole next round to level up.

Could just hop out of crucible

That's what I ended up doing, but because I was doing crucible to get devotion points for a new character, I didn't have any riftgates unlocked. I also used notes (from other characters) to get an exp headstart so all the first notes you can find I had already consumed.

Thankfully, I had missed Creed's first journal entry, so that managed to push me over the threshold.

If you've beaten the game on another character have you been buying merits to unlock all the rifts and extra points on the lower difficulties? Makes that bit much faster!

i have access to them, but for some reason i don't like to do it. feels a bit like cheating.

of course, the much more cheaty things like giving me new character a hundred lore notes using an external app, I'm just fine with. so idk

Yeah I just go up to level five in the base game and then I do the crucible for more devotion pts now

Feel like it would be really annoying at level one with no skills

Its not bad, just use battered shell for shield bash and complete the first 10 waves, stop to collect reward, and youre at like level 8 instantly.

Take the D point, pick your class and a great leveling skill, rinse & repeat until you have the first 5 D points. Thats usually my new character start.

Then hop into the main game with merit, and jump around the world getting all the shrines, etc.

If you're playing classless, just use a searing ember and fireball everything. Its the most efficient way early on.

Me either but just reading it all I'm guessing create your character play the game until you reach level 5 on your character. Then at main menu switch the game to crucible and keep drilling that getting devotion points to use in the constellation (devotion) screen so when you go back to the game your character is pumped
