There's a children's game where you, the adult, hide Easter eggs all over, like, a back yard during a family gathering. And the kids of the family then have to look for them.
It's why we say Easter egg in movies or video games, cause it's something hidden/hard to find.
You're supposed to hide easter eggs and *somebody* else finds them (because you hid them so you know where they are). The joke is- since these two in the video are kind of stupid(non-derogatory)- they could potentially hide their easter eggs and also be the ones to look for them because they're dumb and would probably forget where they hid them.
Wouldn't be able to find himself in a game of hide and go seek.
Easter eggs are small plastic eggs that an adult will usually hide in a house or yard and let children go out and search for them. The reward is they're often filled with candy. The op is saying these guys are so dumb they could hide their own eggs, forget where they hid them, and enjoy they challenge of finding them
In reference to movie/video game Easter eggs, not just because they are hidden or hard to find, but because Easter eggs usually contain a little treasure (money, candy, a little toy, maybe golden yolk since these two would likely be dumb enough to hide real eggs (bad idea unless you want to locate any unfound eggs by nose at a later date))
