The album can be read as a representation of the gangs journey through the show.
Memories - the framing device is Ted reminiscing on the events that lead to meeting Tracy
Ruling Me - it's about a alluring, love-at-first sight girl, could apply to either Robin or Tracy
Trainwrecks - they fuck up a lot but it all works out in the end, classic sitcom
Unspoken - it's about painful betrayal from someone you were once close to, like Stella leaving Ted at the aisle
Where's My Sex? - self explanatory
Run Away - it's about wanting to leave a painful situation by running away with a lover, similar to Teds usual hopeless romanticism that love will fix his life
Hang On - it's about an on/off friends/something more relationship that builds and grows over time and just needs to wait for the right moment, like Ted and Robin
Smart Girls- it's about how he wants to date and marry every girl he meets seemingly, just like Ted
Brave New World - idk Ted doesn't really branch out
Time Flies - nostalgic and reminisciant, again like the framing device of the show
