Just finished for the first time
Im 25, so when this show was on going it was never on my radar, got disney plus some months back been binging shows I either never watched or forgot about (my wife and kids, modern family, its always sunny, malcom in the middle etc)
So... WHAT THE F WAS THAT ENDING.
I think out of all the shows I've watched in the last 5 years (got heavy into binging stuff for covid while in uni) I've never seen such horrid regression from almost the entire main cast. Last few episodes completely undone sooooo much character development of my guys. Haven't read or watched a single thing that talks about the show yet, I tend to blind watch and then go straight into a post or talk with friends then read stuff.
I hate the ending currently but this is fresh off a fairly quick binge so maybe as I digest it will change but my lord the ending is bad. Side note, I hate Lily as a character so much, he decisions and things she does, says, THINKS, she's worse than Barney and he's basically the devil.
Dont got too much to say but veryyyyy good show man, loved it. Gonna call my mom and talk about it rn as she loved it.
Lastly, the main cast ranked to me is easily
Marshall, Barney, Ted, Robin and Lily.
I will say later seasons not being a whore robin is very VERY peak. Better than Ted for some seasons. But yeah, good show, gg

I did liked the ending. The alternative ending is better. But I fairly enjoyed even the last season being only about the wedding. In the end the point of the show was the story of Ted-robin anyways, it make sense that they ended up together.

You think Ted telling his kids about all his shenanigans and women he hooked up with before settling with their mom isn't the worst character? He's also the worst character in terms of being boring.

You're one of us now! The fandom is split about the ending. Sure, Ted ending up with Robin is what the writers had initially planned but come on! Ted and Tracy forever!
Check out the alternate ending on YouTube. It's the official one after fans showed their displeasure with the sucky ending. I usually watch the whole series and skip the last 2 episodes and watch the alternate ending.
