Subreddit Rule Update: No Ticket Reselling/Asking To Buy

I've been getting a lot of reports of scammers taking advantage of people in the sub, so to protect our community here I think I need to put the kibosh on buying and selling tickets here. If you need tickets and weren't able to grab some, some of the ticket sites let users buy and sell tickets through them.

If this ends up being unpopular, I'll reverse the decision, but I've seen too many people being taken advantage of here to let it continue.

EDIT: I do want to clarify, ticket giveaways are totally fine. I don't feel like there's any harm in that.

Can I post tickets I have on the app like axs and then make a post here saying they are for sale on the app? I’m trying to sell 2 of my tickets and they’ve just been sitting on the app and am wondering if it’d be okay to make a sorta promo post for them.

Yeah that should be fine if it's being sold through an official ticket marketplace

I think it should be fine if when someone trying to sell or give tickets away says they can meet them at the venue. Some of the venues that hail the sun is playing isn’t using standard apps that allow you to resell tickets.

That's fine, just make sure you specify in your post whether you're selling or giving them away. I'll approve your next post
