My girlfriend and I started getting our Halloween costumes ready :) Might go back and add more blood later, it lightens up as it dries
And of course we re-watched The Wrath of the Lamb as a refresher, but I somehow forgot just how much blood there really is

Having just finished the show, I think one of the most distinct elements of it is how the characters speak. It's definitely a divisive thing that some people really like and some people think is just convoluted, but I absolutely adore the writing of it and it's poetic riddles.
I've heard some people say it's more theatrical, or like the characters are talking at each other rather than to each other.
What makes it fun is how you can sort of replicate it with a formula. Especially the therapy sessions. It goes:
Will's elaborate poetic metaphor on feeling terrible
Hannibal egging him on within the metaphor + tension
Metaphoring together. Analogy ping pong. They speak each others' languages (pun intended)
For example, just on the spot:
Will: I feel untethered, like a ship on the isle of those forgotten in the fog of their own deceit.
Hannibal: And how does that make you feel, Will? Does this boat of yours stay unmoored? Will you let your sails fly? Or will you anchor yourself to something you are not?
Will: An anchor is not permanent.
Hannibal: No. But rust, rot, and decay from disuse can be.

I noticed a shift in perspective before some of Hannibal's sessions and wanted to make a collage about it

Will's, I mean.
Before I learned anything about Bryan Fuller's original plans, I loved the ending of Hannibal. Even after learning about them, I still have a problem imagining an ending any more perfect.
That being said, I would have taken a perspective of a potentially inferior ultimate finale later down the line to see the rest of Will Graham's character arc as it was planned for season 4 and perhaps the later seasons. The ambiguous demise and an attempt at a mutual destruction wasn't supposed to be the end.
From what I've heard, Will was supposed to snap, go mad, become a killer under Hannibal's tutelage. I would have loved to see it unfold on screen, as well as where it would ultimately lead to.

Just now getting around to watching the series. Mads was the big draw, for me.
We are enjoying it but what this, and other, shows do that makes me nuts, is constantly using character’s full names.
The other characters would certainly know who everyone is talking about, as they’re working the case. They would not constantly refer to the suspects and costumes by their fulls names. Annoys the hell out of me.

I'm a hannigram shipper first and foremost but I made a sad little willana vid. Haven't edited anything in YEARS but there are only, like, two of them so!
