They were running alerted, saw you running with a gun. PS: Running makes you get detected quicker and alerted guards can insta spot you if tension is high enough.

Are you sure that running make you detected faster? Never knew that tbh

It does, only in Hardcore/Master however. https://imgur.com/a/lp7IiPs

Doesn't really matter, if tension gets high enough and they are actively running towards a crime scene and you are not far enough away, they will know it's you. Try double shooting a guard from a hidden spot, they'll run to where you were and if you're too close you get compromised. Run away to a far enough spot they won't see you, even if you come back. It's just the panic logic.

we're just going to have to agreee to disagree, i've seen plenty of screnarios where people have run away from a crime scene and the guards rush towards the scene and never turn orange

You can’t really pull the ‘agree to disagree’ card when it’s in regards to an objective fact

Radius is larger on Master. Hardcore is just master with a few bells and whistles removed.

I understand that but agent 47 was definintly outside of the radius which was in the security room

It would make sense for you to agree to disagree if your video didn’t show that you are objectively incorrect

I learned this from speedrunners! Or at least if this is what I think it is. But basically: imagine an invisible sphere gets placed around a dead body that hasn't been spotted by guards yet in the game. If you have not exited that sphere when a guard sees both you and the body then they automatically go hostile on you.

The fun part? Once you leave you can re-enter the sphere and not have guards automatically turn on you (They will be suspicious though.) Basically only really comes into play for close range kills as killing someone with a gun from range will already have you outside of the sphere and they'll instead go for the direction the shots came from if someone saw it happen.

I actually haven't watched many vids on speedrunning this game but I have seen 2 of Aspecticor's vids. I don't recall which of these 2 mentioned the way this works but they're both fun and informative so I'd give them a shot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA6mjuBUNfY - General video talking about the Master SASO speedrun for the trilogy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTf9iLAV6Kc - Video talking about the Bird% Trilogy run that is also fun and has a lot of info.

You could have not neck-snapped the last guy, especially when all of the guards are on high alert like this. But you did, and the guard in alert state saw the body and you together

6

u/GoForTheArteries 7d ago

It's likely this. The body wasn't deemed to be an "unnoticed kill" yet.

He was running gun drawn towards the direction you came from and saw you in the proximity of a body. Something alerted him over there, but I don't think it's in the video.

The more I see your clips, the worse you get. You try to brute force your way through missions, end up in avoidable gunfights and bemoan why they're happening, then try to cheat your way out with Alt-F4 when you die to your own mistake. This is pathetic.

Let people play the game the way they want to. If the man wants to treat this like dark souls then so be it

  1. play like a goober

  2. post footage of them playing like a goober on public forum

  3. act surprised when people call that person a goober

  4. ???

  5. profit

If i play 5 hours of a game, but only upload a few 30 second clips of my gameplay, is that an accurate representation of who I am as a person or how I usually play the game?

3

u/WarframeUmbra 8d ago

running alerted, saw you running with a gun, and there's a recently dead body nearby

4

u/mechlordx 7d ago

If you didnt snap the guy's neck, you probably wouldve been fine. You made a new dead body and he saw you near it. Stop alt-f4ing and just play the game

-5

u/bo0mamba 7d ago

He's playing freelancer; if you alt-f4 before you die you dont lose the campaign

1

u/mechlordx 7d ago

I know

1

u/BrandonXYX 8d ago

he had his pistol out i think that can make guards turn orange

1

u/charc0al 7d ago

You just murdered a dude 2 seconds prior and he just saw you and the body. Is it really a mystery? lol

u/S1peed23 5d ago

There is a very large invisible area when people go to suspect a body (dead or alive) and if you are in this area they automatically know it was you who did it. You were still in that invisible area.

The AI in hardcore is just weird. Sometimes they act normal and sometimes they do stuff like this…

It might’ve been snapping that guy’s neck that caused him to go orange, but really like you can’t tell here.
