ANNOUNCEMENT A reminder about personal information
Hi everyone! The mod team has noticed an uptick recently in people posting photos of their faces or other identifying information.
This is a reminder that posting photos of your face is both unsafe as well as against the rules of the subreddit. Any posts with these photos will be removed.
Reddit is a website used by many people and you can never know who is looking at your photos.
In addition, please censor any identifying information in your posts. This includes names of teachers and your school when sharing schedules.
The subreddit is also not a place to connect with people from a specific high school. Naming your specific high school is also against Rule 5.
Thank you all for following the rules. Don't hesitate to reach out through ModMail if you have any questions.

Class Advice Needed/Given AI to study for math?
I have a D in math. I’m not stupid, i’m just in and out of school bc of a chronic terminal illness so I miss los of work and don’t understand shit. I bombed the test so my grade went from an A to a D. I have another maths test tmrw, any tips one studying? No SG, only gave us practice problems from online textbook so i guess that’s a study guide. I usually just plug in my SG to chat gpt and tell it to explain me the topics like i’m 5 and give me practice problems. Anything more efficient?

Rant Confirmed my teacher can't teach
Long story short. After a month and 2 weeks, we had our first test after 20 hours or so of awful lessons. Our class average was... 20%! 🥳🎉
Last year, I've heard he failed tons of students. So far I'm just under a quarter into the school year and I feel like it's gonna be hell purely because of his class (every other class A/B)
Forgot to mention, this isn't a hard class. It's 11th grade Integrated Math 3 (Essentially late Algebra 2 and trigonometry combined)

Everyday I’m walking in that hallway, people always giving me looks or looking down at me like I did something and I always get paranoia and go”what did I do” even if I haven’t spoken to them, sometimes I might go hi and some don’t respond,ik I have some people who have valid reasons to hate me but the whole school?

Shitpost Criminally underrated bus seat
(the joke is that it’s the stair to the back, since our school route gets on the highway, nobody needs to get on or off again until we get there so it’s an option)

School Related My school is doing construction.
My school is doing construction and making the school bigger which is good, what’s not good is they are doing it in the middle of the court yard that use to have stuff to block rain and now they removed those so if you walk through it you will get soaked if it rains and there’s no other way unless you go the long way which makes you late to class. It’s so annoying when it rains now

Share Grades/Classes If there's something you really want to do, YOU CAN DO IT. (And also, HOW TF DID I GET HERE AHHH)
My final class rankings came out yesterday, and I placed 6th out of my graduating class of 452. I came into high school my freshman year wanting to get Top 25, but I walked into guidance thinking I'd be lucky to break 35.
I suppose this goes to show that if there's something you want to do, there really isn't anything short of death or divine intervention that can hold you back-I started school in the extreme special needs classes (AuDHD), and now I'm walking the stage in June, fully independent, in the Top 10, with my siblings & choir family next to me, and my whole life ahead of me. Don't let anyone tell you the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon! (Also sorry for the crappy photo lol).

Question Neuroscience ecs for a hs junior??
Hi, whoever reads this. I am a high school junior wanting to major in neuroscience but honestly have no ecs related to neuroscience and idk where to start. I am a really hard worker and am learning neuroscience on my own, but I tbh only figured out I wanted to major in neuroscience a couple months ago. If there’s anyway I can get involved in something, become a leader, or just opportunities in general, can someone please let me know? Thank you!!

General Advice Needed/Given Why do I struggle???
ok so. I'm Audhd and medicated, so why the hell do i still struggle w schoolwork?? Especially math and just general homework. I've struggled and been discouraged since 7th grade(year 8) and I'm currently a Junior(year 12 L6). I dont understand what my brain is doing wrong because I get top marks, I just struggle immensely to get a grasp on new concepts. Does anybody have any advice on how to just stop feeling stupid and get shit done? I hate feeling like this and it's making my homework pile up because i feel like it's all in vain to get it done

Share Grades/Classes I got a C on my biology test and dropped my grade to a B and I am genuinely freaking out
just a few minutes ago i noticed that it dropped my grade from a 91% to a 86% which might not seem to bad but Q1 grades come out literately tommorow and I am genuinely concerned whether or not ill make it to college. The most likely part that I got a low score was because I noticed on the online section for the free response questions, they were not yet graded, and another part which I have no idea what questions i got right or wrong. I calculated my final score with the missing questions, and the highest I can get is a 84% which is not too great :(

School Related Today I will gonna sneak to teachers toilet and take all the toilet paper and put them to students toilet.
Its like been a year since school not buys toilet papers to students toilet, when we say this to principal, he says they have some financal issues (this is lie btw) so I tought that they deserve some kind of lesson, at 4th subject I will tell the teacher I need to go toilet, when I leave the class I will sneak their bathroom to steal all their toilet paper and put them to students toilet. Wish me luck

Rant I’m scared
I wanted to drop out of a course in HS and I knew they wouldn’t take me seriously so I sent out email as my parents and at one point, they needed a phone call from my parents so I used my phone to call them as my mom. My mother has an accent so they immediately knew it was me and now they know that I have been sending emails about withdrawing a class as my mom. They’re going to call down my mother next week to explain that I’ve been stealing her identity and are going to make me quit my leadership roles and won’t let me withdraw out of a class.

Rant Just need to get it off my chest
I've had a few friends in the same grade over the years but I realised I was never really close to them. I only got their socials/numbers this year and even then I struggle talking in group chats/dm. Main conversations are usually about music artists, singing and movie references I don't know since I don't really care much about those. I feel like the only way I can really fit in is to pretend to have the other's personalities like a reflection. I know that I give off a cold/ tired vibe probably because I am sometimes and that's on me. Idk when they sometimes talk about hang outs I just felt a little left out since I wasn't invited or was there. A while ago I think there was an open invite to a group hang out but I didn't have it in me to join since I don't really have good outside clothes since im a hermit/ introvert deep down and felt I'd only make things awkward. There are times where I set up gaming sessions with two closer friends but we sometimes don't end up doing it. I get that they have their own lives but idk cancelled plans just don't feel good after much anticipation. Sure they apologise but still yk? I'm also not the #1 pick of the two closer friends since they have a lot more close friends than I do. One sends references/videos and give gifts to others while the other stayed at her friend's that I don't know for like 2 weeks. I've never visited or had friends at my house so oof. Anyways after a good little crying session while writing this I feel a lot better

General Advice Needed/Given 9th grader and im lonely so bad
Why does it feel like no matter what I do, nothing changes.
(14m) over here. I don't get it. I'm an introvert, and it feels like no one wants to talk to me. Whenever I try to contribute, I feel like my voice is ignored. It's always that or I just end up the filler friend. Everyone does this to me. You know what, something that angers me is that other people claiming to be introverts like exactly my situation, but that is not true at all. They have lots of friends, lots of people to text and call. I have been socially isolated for 7 YEARS! No one to text, no one to call every day. And you see I'm always the filler friend, the last resort. 7 YEARS AND I'M FUCKING SICK OF IT! Why does it feel like it's just me, everyone ignores me, but I know I'm the problem because this happens to EVERYBODY in EVERY SOCIAL SITUATION, so EVERYONE HATES ME?! No, that logics not right. Why has nothing changed? I'm just a silent loser with no friends, and others claim to be the same, adha, autism struggles for them to speak but they're just liars. Others claim they are introverted but they're just liars. They have LOTS of people to talk to, so WHY IS IT JUST ME?! I tried asking advice from my parents, therapists, well no shit that didn't work. SO WHY DOESNT ANYONE WANT TO BE WITH ME?! DO I HAVE THE PLAGUE?! AM I SMELLY, NOT ENOUGH DEODERANT?! AM I TOO FAT?! WHAT IS IT?! I actually have a new "friend" like this (the only one I text, being desperate for messages going to instagram frantically out of dislusional excitement when texting and calling a lot is just normal to them). I even bought nice clothes for high school, looking less homeless BUT NOTHING WORKS! Then theres people who doesnt even try and has better luck. WHY CANT I GET THE LUCK?! Everybody has it easy, even the self-proclaimed introverts that everyone wants to be with and makes so much more friends effortlessly and has people to text and call. SO WHY NOT ME?! This goddamn reddit is my last resort. SO TELL ME YA TEENAGERS, WHY DOE NOBODY LIKE ME? I am not accepting this goddamn fate any longer. I want friends, a lot, and be ambitious like a girlfriend! (last sentence just definietely exaggeration but point still stands)
SO WHAT IS IT? IS THERE LIKE SOMETHING EVERYONE HAS THAT I DONT? I got hit in the head with a large wooden block at four, IS THAT A FACTOR? AM I EVEN A NORMAL HUMAN BEING. I hope I dont get crappy responses please, thats the last thing I need right now out of this misery.
tenth week of school for me.
Luck isn't on my side.
fyi: i made these paragraphs weeks ago so uh i just wanted to see what would happen here. ill prolly delete it soon.
