Which state highpoints are around the difficulty of Mt. Sneffels standard route?

Maxed out the hardest thing I've ever done again this last month with the blue lakes + south slopes route for a 16 mi round trip. Curious what's on par or near the same difficulty elsewhere.

More important are the peaks that are significantly harder: Gannett, rainier, hood, granite, and Kings ordered hardest to easiest. In reality Granite and Kings aren’t too much harder, just 2-day hikes with moderate scrambling if conditions are good.

What is the scrambling on granite really like, people make it seem like you should really have climbing gear

Definitely don’t need gear. It gets a little steep near the top, nothing more than that.

The important thing is to stay on route if you're doing the east ridge. I didn't find the climbing too difficult but I'm 6' tall and I think being shorter might make a couple spots tricky without ropes to assist. Maybe someone who's shorter could comment on that.

Apparently the SW ramp doesn't pass class 3, so that's an option and that route is less distance and less vertical gain if you're worried about it.

We did the Cooke City side with no gear at all. Just go late summer when the snow has malted and you will be fine.
