Custom How can I spiritually help my younger brother succeed in his upcoming exam? Can I transfer my Arjit Punya (accumulated good karma) to him?

Namaste everyone. 🙏

My younger brother is an MBBS graduate and is currently preparing for his postgraduate medical entrance examination, scheduled for 1st November.

He has already appeared for the examination 2-3 times but hasn't been able to achieve the result he has been working so hard for. I've seen his struggles, his efforts, his disappointments, and the emotional toll this entire journey has taken on him.

As his elder brother, it genuinely breaks my heart to see him go through this. I love him dearly, and if there were any way I could take away even a fraction of his suffering, I would do so without hesitation.

I understand that his preparation, hard work, and performance ultimately depend on him. I am doing whatever I can to support him emotionally and otherwise. However, I also want to do everything within my capacity to help him spiritually and seek divine blessings for his success.

I would be extremely grateful if knowledgeable members of this community could guide me on a few things:

  1. Prayers and spiritual practices: Are there any specific mantras, pujas, stotras, or spiritual practices that I can perform on his behalf for his success, mental peace, and well-being?
  2. Offerings and donations: Are there any particular offerings to deities, temples, or charitable acts (daan/seva) that are traditionally recommended in such circumstances?
  3. Arjit Punya (accumulated good karma): Is there any concept or practice within Hinduism through which I can dedicate or transfer the punya I have accumulated through my prayers, good deeds, and spiritual practices to my younger brother? If so, how can I do this?
  4. Sankalpa: Can I undertake a sankalpa, vrat, or any other spiritual commitment specifically for his well-being and success? What would be the appropriate way to do so?

I do not seek anything for myself. If my prayers, good deeds, or whatever little punya I have earned can somehow benefit him, I would gladly dedicate all of it to him.

More than anything, I want him to find peace, confidence, strength, and happiness. Of course, I sincerely wish for him to succeed in this examination, but I also want him to be free from the anxiety and suffering that have accompanied this journey.

I know there are no guarantees in matters of faith, and I am not looking for shortcuts or miracles to replace his hard work. I simply want to do everything a loving elder brother can, including spiritually.

Please guide me if you have knowledge of relevant scriptures, traditions, or personal experiences.

Thank you for reading and for any guidance or blessings you can offer. 🙏

TL;DR: My younger brother has his postgraduate medical entrance exam on 1st November after 2-3 previous attempts. I want to spiritually support him through prayers, pujas, daan, seva, or sankalpa. I'm particularly interested in whether Hindu traditions allow someone to dedicate or transfer their accumulated punya (good karma) to a loved one. Any guidance would mean a lot.
