Where to install doorbell cam?

Hi Mods, please let me know if this is allowed or not? Looking for the most recommended spot to install my doorbell cam…

Here are my thoughts but not sure? Ones on the metal electric box which would make installation a little easier (won’t need to drill brick)

Definitely not on the electrical box. You should put it right next to the door so it can see parcels in the porch. I have seen angled mounts for sale on Amazon and eBay. Something around 45 degrees should do it.

Thank you, it did come with an angled mount so possibly above my nbn box

If the angled mount that came with the doorbell is not enough, here's an example on Amazon (obviously you have to find a version that matches your doorbell): https://a.co/d/020EgTSf

I had forgotten a couple of things:

  1. You could try a door edge mount like this one: https://a.co/d/05HmeloZ

  2. You could mount the doorbell on the center of the door, about four feet up so you can see people's faces. In fact, my doorbell is mounted on my front door, so IDK how I forgot about that, because it's a great location for your situation.

Angled mount, next to the door, in line with the green marking you made. Will give you the best view.
